Inviting People and Groups

A room's People tab is where your visitors live. Everyone who enters gets a personal link and a record. Grouped by company, bidder, or adviser.

Inviting visitors

Invite people by email. One at a time or pasted as a list. Each invited visitor gets:

• A personal link. Their own URL, which you can revoke individually without touching the room's shared links.
• A visitor record. Sessions, files opened, questions asked, agreement acceptance.

Invitation emails carry the room name and a direct entry link. Visitors do not need a Docshark account. The gate verifies them, not a signup.

Groups

Groups turn a list of emails into a named audience. "Bidder A", "Legal counsel", "Board observers":

• Create a group, add members by email.
• Domain auto-join. Attach a domain like @acme.com to a group; anyone verifying an email on that domain lands in the group automatically.
• Reference a group in a room link's allowlist. The group's link becomes a private door for that audience only.
• Group analytics aggregate. See "Bidder A spent 3 hours in Financials" without stitching sessions together yourself.

Verified vs claimed identity

Two trust levels appear on every visitor:

• Verified. The visitor proved their inbox (email verification or an invited personal link). The email is real.
• Claimed. The visitor typed a name/email at the gate without verification. It is what they said, not what was proved.

Every analytics row, agreement acceptance, and question carries the flag. So you always know which records are proven and which are asserted.

Removing access

• Remove a visitor to kill their personal link. Their past activity stays in the record.
• Remove a domain from a group's auto-join to stop new auto-entries; existing members keep access until removed individually.
• Revoking a room link closes the door for everyone on it at once.
