Field Types

All 21 field types you can place on a document. What each collects and how it behaves.

The field builder offers 21 field types. Each is assigned to one recipient, sized on the page, and configurable. Required or optional, labeled, formatted.

Signature and identity

FieldCollects
SignatureThe recipient's signature. Drawn, typed, or uploaded.
InitialsA short-form sign-off, typically per page.
StampA company or personal stamp/seal image.
Full nameThe signer's name, auto-filled from their identity.
EmailThe signer's email address.
CompanyThe signer's organization name.
TitleThe signer's job title.

Date and text

FieldCollects
Date signedAuto-stamps the signing date. No input needed.
TextFree-form input. Single or multi-line, with validation options.
NumberNumeric input with optional range checks.
CurrencyA money amount with currency formatting.

Choices

CheckboxOne independent tick. Agree to a clause, opt in.
Checkbox groupSeveral checkboxes with a minimum/maximum selection rule.
Radio groupExactly one choice from a set of options.
DropdownA pick-list. Cleaner than radio for long option sets.

Attachments and advanced

FieldCollects
AttachmentThe signer uploads a file (ID, supporting document).
DrawingA freehand sketch area.
NoteText shown to the signer. Instructions, not input.
FormulaA calculated value from other fields. Totals, derived dates.
PaymentA payment request attached to signing, where payments are enabled.
Email verificationAn extra proof-of-inbox step bound to a field.

Common rules on every field

  • Required / optional. Required fields block submission until filled.
  • Recipient assignment. Every field belongs to exactly one recipient (color-coded in the builder).
  • Label and placeholder. The hint text signers see.
  • Validation. Format and range rules on text and number fields.
  • Read-only. Show a fixed value the signer cannot change.
