Docshark MCP server

Use Docshark from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and any app that supports the Model Context Protocol. What it is, what it can do, and how it acts.

Docshark has an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that apps like Claude and ChatGPT use to work with other products. Once you connect one, you can ask it about your Docshark workspace and have it do the work for you: "who has signed the lease?", "send this NDA to Ahmed", "make a data room for the Kvant deal".

The address

https://dashboard.doc-shark.com/mcp

This is the only address. There is no API key to copy and nothing to install. You connect, you sign in to Docshark, you choose what the app may do, and you press Allow.

What an app can do

An app connected to Docshark reaches the same things you reach in the Docshark app, nothing more:

How it acts

  • As you. Every call runs as the person who connected it, in the one workspace they picked. If you cannot do something in Docshark, the app cannot do it either. Your permissions are checked again on every call, not only when you connect.
  • Only where you said. You choose a level for each area when you connect: Off, Read, or Read and change. You can change it later under Settings → Connectors.
  • Asking first. Every tool that changes something is marked as a change. Apps that support it (Claude, ChatGPT and most editors) show you the action and wait for your yes before it runs.
  • Recorded. Docshark records which tool ran and when for every call. The record never holds the content of your documents.
  • Easy to stop. Disconnecting under Settings → Connectors stops the app at once. Its sign-in cannot be renewed.

Before you connect

  • You need a Docshark account and a role in the workspace that includes Docshark.
  • Mako must be on for the workspace. The workspace owner controls this. If Mako is off, apps cannot use Docshark in that workspace.
  • The app must support remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth). Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, OpenCode and Devin all do.

Next: connect your app, step by step with screenshots. Setting it up for a whole company? Read the setup guide for admins.
