Exports and Retention
Take your analytics and audit data with you. What each export contains, on every plan.
Your readership data belongs to you. Docshark lets you export it on every plan, including the free Hobby tier.
Exporting analytics
From a document or the Analytics view, the export menu produces the session and page-event data behind the charts. Exports cover:
- Viewer sessions. Who, when, device, region.
- Per-page events. Which pages each session touched and the dwell times.
- Link-level rollups. Per-document and per-link aggregates.
Audit evidence
Signature envelopes carry their own export. The audit evidence JSON, a complete event record for the envelope:
- Every audit event in the hash-linked chain, in order.
- Signer identities, timestamps, and outcomes.
- Document integrity hashes captured at send, consent, and seal.

Older analytics roll off automatically. The window is a rolling cutoff, not a deletion schedule you manage.
Completed envelopes, their sealed PDFs, and their audit evidence are kept with the envelope record itself. They remain downloadable from the envelope detail even after analytics windows close.
Room history
Data-room activity is exportable as part of the room's audit trail. Entries, file views, gate acceptances, and questions. It complements the org-wide exports above and follows the same privacy rules: hashed IPs, country-level regions.
